Meet the Team
William "The Freakshow" Braun's love for fast, heavy and hard music began at an early age as he listened to the sounds of bands like The Who, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath permeate the bedroom wall that separated his room from his older brother's. Still a young boy able to sit in the front of a shopping cart, he found what was to be his first album at TG&Y. The painted faces of Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, or KISS demonstrated the musical edge he would find himself riding for the rest of his life. A week later his mother started him on the journey by buying him his first record, Kiss' self-titled debut album.
As life often does, his foray into a career in music was diverted by the need to raise a family and he settled into the business world, while spending as much time as possible in record shops; forever on the lookout for the next eargasm.
Recently, the love and support of his wife, "Positive Metal" Michelle combined with the desire to live a life of dreams has overtaken the focus on necessity and he has once again immersed himself in music; creating it with his band mates in Endgame and allowing it to use him as a conduit for those who feel as passionately for it as he.
Positive Metal Michelle
Howdy, I’m Michelle Braun, aka Positive Metal Michelle.
I’ve always enjoyed a variety of music, mainly listening to country, classic rock (70’s), and oldies (50’s – 60’s) growing up. (I know… not what you’d expect, huh? LOL) It wasn’t until my 20’s that I really gave heavier rock / metal much of a listen and found I enjoyed this heavier music too. I finally understood why everyone wanted to crank up the volume!
When William “Freakshow” & I became friends I quickly recognized how much influence music has in his life; I had never seen so many CD’s outside of a store. While I was always interested in music, I was in need of some coaching and he provided it; my in-depth introduction to hard rock and heavy metal had begun! He opened my eyes by playing much heavier music for me; taught me about the instruments and recognizing the sounds they make; how songs are put together and so forth. It was an obvious passion for him and as we grew closer he shared with me his dreams of somehow, someway, someday being involved in music or broadcasting.
Years later I began to recognize happiness is a choice and I was ready to make it. I needed some positive influence, reaffirming thoughts and encouragement so I began listening to all praise and worship music instead of all mainstream rock and metal. However, despite the fact I enjoyed the music, I missed the energy of the heavier tunes. That all changed when I discovered Red and Day of Fire around 2006 and the head-banging began anew! I found a whole new world of rock and metal and introduced myself this time.
In recent years William and I began discussing ways to make his dreams of broadcasting a reality. Once decided on a radio station playing rock and metal, I recommended he include some Christian based &/or positive music in the line-up. He in turn suggested I start my own show - yeah right! After further discussions and prayers I decided this was a great opportunity to share what I enjoy with others who are looking for something more positive in their lives. I hope you find some pleasure in the sounds I play!
